So we all know about chinese new year, but are you sure you REALLY know about it?! Now it's a super good chance for you to experience a special one! The 2nd Freak-out-beast music and art festival is gonna show you the real spirit of chinese people.
The real chinese new year is so important for us,cuz it's the only time for families getting together once a year,the big big chinese family,with lots of traditional food and funny games,yeah you can also do some no harm done gambling at home.And the whole festival used to be super loud with non-stop firecrackers,old friends visiting each other,mirthfully decorative streets,and the big big big red envelopes!However,21th century just makes our chinese new year so changing,those precious memories have gone to nowhere silently and suddenly.Seems like the year monster have abandoned our taipei city...
This kind of boring new year,we refuse to take!That's why we would like to start this meaningful chinese new year event 吵年獸,inspired by the story using firecrackers to scare away the year monster. And now,forget about that old fashion please!This time, when the year monster comes,insteading the firecrackers,we'd like to invite you to punch it with loud live band music,and about 140 different creative brands at the lovely park at Yong Kang St.!
The whole festival would start at the date set for farmer, 立春 (li-chun),which means Spring arrives on that day. So we've got an opening bazzar/party on 2/3(sat) from 5pm to 9pm, plus 2/4,10 and 11, from 2pm to 9pm. You can see all of our shows at Yong Kang Park on these two weekends! Not only the good taiwan indie young bands, but also all kinds of handmade products and the cool new designs. You can even collect the original chinese word stamps for a surprise gift, by visiting gallery, writing 春聯 (chun lian, the Spring Festival couplets), even spying the 'beast' at the bazzar/party.
If you are looking forward to a real party, we also have a closing party @ 非常廟（VT salon), with the hot dnb music plays on, and welcome you to join us and celebrate the new year's eve coming!
Besides the hope of renewing the chinese new year,our other event object is that 詩筆獸更有福,which is related to our team name 詩筆獸,including the member Meline,KbN (famous indie electronica band),and creative designer Zoe.Also mandarin users can tell by sound and the meaning 施比受更有福 (It is better to give than to take).Therefore,2nd Freak-out-beast music and art festival is gonna help collecting donations,for those needy kids in taiwan and stray dogs & cats,to make our ancestral virtue enhance and glorify!
